The International Diplomacy track will encourage collaboration among U.S. Exchange Alumni who would like to solve challenging problems across cultural, political, and national boundaries.


Part 1: Introduction (8 min)

  • Introduce yourself: full name, professional occupation, U.S. Exchange Program, etc.

  • Short description of your country: history, culture, language, religion, geography, etc.

Part 2: Context (6 min)

  • What major event happened in your country or geographic region over the past several years?

  • What impact or significance did this event have within your country or local community?

Part 3: Challenges (8 min)

  • What challenging problem do you want to solve within your geographic region?

  • Why is regional collaboration required to successfully address this issue?

Part 4: Geopolitics (8 min)

  • What compromises are you willing to make to strengthen regional collaboration?

  • What compromises are you unwilling to make to strengthen regional collaboration?

Part 6: Vision (8 Min)

  • What is your optimistic vision for the future of your country or geographic region?

  • What opportunities for regional collaboration do you envision over the next several years?

U.S. Exchange Alumni assigned new conversation partners six times per year.
